Tremors in Victoria Picture credit On May 28, 2023, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck Melbourne, Australia. The earthquake was felt in several parts of the city and caused some minor damage. While earthquakes are relatively rare in Victoria, they are not unheard of. In fact, the state has experienced several significant earthquakes in the past, including a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in 1989 that caused significant damage in Melbourne and other parts of the state. So, how common are tremors in Victoria?
